Summary

The Helpdesk Associate is responsible for onboarding all incoming new hires for Zipcar.

A successful Helpdesk Associate will consistently communicate with hiring manager on the progress of their new hire and follow written procedure for a smooth onboarding.


Continuously be on the lookout for pattern and areas that can be improved upon, seek out opportunities to enhance existing documentation if lacking and/or create one entirely for scenario we have not encountered before.


Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, identify, and recommend enhancements to existing procedure and propose future enhancements on area needing further refinement with onboarding
  • Work with other departments and team members to identify problems area and propose more efficient policy/procedure
  • Writes and/or revises end user and internal training manuals and procedures relating to onboarding
  • Analyzes and evaluates tickets and makes recommendations to reduce common incidents that can be handled within onboarding
  • Interviews end user to collect information about problem and leads user through diagnostic procedures to determine source of error
  • Handles problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and followup for routine user problems
  • You are not responsible for lost equipment if adhering to procedures written
  • Expected to do some regular helpdesk tickets if hiring for a given week is slower/less then
Requirements & Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual should meet the following minimum requirements and qualifications:

  • Experience in Desktop/Helpdesk environment 2-3 years
  • In depth experience with Windows desktops and operating systems.
  • Have tenacity to logically think through issues and "think on your feet"
  • Experience in IT support ticketing system
  • Experience using and supporting O36
  • Experience in Onboarding/Offboarding employees through a ticketing system
  • Experience in knowledge book documentation system and take initiative to update existing documents and expand up on them.
  • Experience with Apple Mac devices and Mac OS a plus.
