We are a family run farm on 1100 acres, with 190 Holstein Friesians plus young stock followers, AYR calving, extensive use of grazing during the summer and cubicle housed TMR fed during the winter.

Main duties will include;
Twice a day milking, with alternate weekends off

Vet & Med record keeping

Routine Vet visits

Cleaning and maintenance of the parlour

Calving assistance when required, tagging, colostrum feeding, record keeping

Medical Treatments and record keeping

Hoof care, footbath, and ad hoc foot trimming between foot trimmer visits

Compliance to all Assurance Standards

Yard work - scraping out

Training and Development opportunities as required

The parlour is a 16/16 Herringbone with auto ID, Pre foamer, ADF, rubber matting, in Parlour feeding. Genus RMS service is used for heat detection and AI.

Position includes a 3 bedroom accommodation in Avebury, which is a World Heritage Site. The village has an outstanding Nursery and many good village primary schools nearby. Avebury also has the amenities of a community shop, pub, part-time post office, cafe and several gift shops. Local market towns include Marlborough and Devizes which are 7 miles away.

Salary according to experience.
