Junior Merchandiser

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare trade and inventory performance reports on a weekly, quarterly, and seasonal basis to provide valuable insights.
  • Analyze post-event and promotion data to identify successes and areas for enhancement.
  • Conduct detailed reviews of seasonal products, pinpointing hits, misses, and opportunities for future seasons.
  • Offer monthly website analyses and suggest corrective actions when needed.
  • Provide ad hoc analyses to aid in decision-making processes.
  • Perform competitive analyses to support product strategies and identify market opportunities.
  • Forecast seasonal trends and collaborate with the design team on product development.
  • Develop assortment plans based on Open-To-Buy (OTB) parameters and make product orders accordingly.
  • Create buy review presentations, highlighting buys against OTB, range plans, and addressing any gaps.
  • Manage post-order gaps and cancellations to minimize disruptions in product availability.
  • Work with the marketing team to craft marketing plans and product packs for website uploads.
  • Coordinate with operations to ensure timely product launches by monitoring delivery schedules.
  • Evaluate in-season buy adjustments based on performance and inventory levels.
  • Oversee inventory allocations across e-commerce channels for optimal distribution.
  • Plan and implement replenishments to maintain ideal inventory levels.
  • Prepare monthly inventory progression reports and monitor inventory cover against targets.
  • Create promotional strategies to meet revenue and inventory goals.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in merchandising, inventory management, or retail analytics.
  • Ideally, a degree in Merchandising, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proficient in Excel or similar tools with strong analytical abilities.
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration capabilities.
  • A passion for streetwear fashion and staying updated on trends.

Location: Watford (with one weekly visit to the Birmingham office).

Salary: Competitive market rate

Must Have: Prior experience in fashion ecommerce merchandising. UK residency with the right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorships available).
