Rate of Pay:
£13.50 per hour (self-employed) plus a flat rate of £ 78.48 for a sleep-in

Hours: 22.5 to 30 waking hours per week

Pattern of Work

  • To run a shift of 7.5 hours, this will definitely be on a Thursday starting at 2.30, with the sleepin and then the morning shift of 7.5 hours on the Friday finishing at 2.30.
To run a shift of 7.5 hours on a Monday morning.

There will also be the opportunity for additional hours to support as a 2:1 for activities. These hours are negotiable


Personal Assistant needed to support me to live independently and access the community as I have Downs Syndrome and am in the middle stages of Alzheimer's disease.


I need support with:
Personal Care and all aspects of independent living.


I also need to have a driver to be able to take me out and about to my leisure activities.

Breaks/food/expenses/mileage will be discussed, if invited to interview.

Additional hours may become available, so I am looking for someone who is flexible.

Experience or Qualifications:

Experience of working with people with a Learning Disability and Communication difficulties. A knowledge of Alzheimer's disease and the difficulties that this brings would be an advantage. A knowledge of Makaton is desirable.

Completion of the Care Certificate and other basic mandatory training, including food hygiene, first aid and health and safety.
