As Associate Director of Nursing, you will be supporting our team across MSE, but you will be based at Basildon.
You will not only be contributing clinically to ensure that our patients receive the best service and care possible, but will also be at the forefront of driving change and innovation within the department.
You will be a part of cultivating an agile and responsive work environment to ensure unexpected or unpredictable activity is actioned to the highest standard in conjunction with meeting daily demands.
You will inspire your colleagues across MSE to innovate the way they work to improve not just patient experience but also staff morale, retention and departmental development.
You will act as a role model and advocate for your staff and patients, through developing and coaching staff in how to communicate in an effective and empathetic manner when dealing with difficult or confrontational situations.

- Be responsible, as the most senior member of nursing staff within the Paediatric Clinical Unit, for ensuring and assuring the quality of nursing provision within the Paediatric services directly managed by the clinical unit
- Provide trustwide advice and direction and leadership on Paediatric nursing requirements and standards, supporting the Deputy Director of Nursing in the development and implementation of aspects of the trust's Nursing Strategy relevant to children and younger people.
- As the head of profession, you will act as a professional resource and advisor, providing leadership, support and guidance on all matters concerning patients including the protection of the most vulnerable. They will ensure that professional and practice developments within the Paediatric Clinical Unit meets national, local and organisational priorities in relation to service modernisation, service delivery, governance and leadership, and will ensure that statutory procedures are appropriately managed and delivered.
