Meridian Business Support are currently hiring a Trainee Line Setter for our well-established manufacturing company based in the Mold area.


As Trainee Line Setter, your primary responsibility is to manage and maintain a safe and efficient environment on the production lines, ensuring the daily running of the machines and equipment meet customer demand; whilst promoting a safe working environment.


You will be responsible for the immediate supervision of Packing and Palletising Operatives working on your line, informing your team leaders and supervisors if issues arise.


Hourly rate:
£11.00 increasing to £ 12.40 once fully trained.

Shift pattern:
Monday - Thursday 7am-7pm with overtime available.

Duties/ Areas of Responsibility:

The position will cover a broad area of responsibilities:
Identify any areas for improvement in productivity on your line, follow instructions as directed.

To ensure all machine guards and safety switches are clean and functional, ensuring the pre-start safety checks are completed and recorded prior to commencing production.

To continually monitor product quality, recording the information on the Quality Monitoring Sheet.
To monitor weigh control, adjust when necessary and record all the information.
Ensure the completion of the daily shift production log, all details of downtime, changeovers and case quantities are recorded.
Ensure maintenance on plant and machinery are carried out at regular intervals as instructed.
Advise the production supervisors of any shortfalls that arise with the production plan.

Skills Required:

Experience operating and setting high speed production lines (desirable)
Strong attention to detail
