Our marine client requires a Technical Superintendent to join their fleet and crewing department in Lancashire. This role can be based in Lancashire, Liverpool, Dublin or Belfast. As a Technical Superintendent you will be responsible for the general and technical management of a fleet or group of vessels including budget control and dry dockings


SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTnQualified Marine Engineer's with Chief Engineer / 2nd Engineer – Unlimited CoC., or equivalent qualifications (MSc / BSc).nExperience working with Ro Ro Vessels and operations (preferred).nThis role is equally suited to a candidate who has experience in a similar shore/ship management role.nA thorough knowledge and understanding of technical vessel operations and statutory requirements.nExcellent organisational and communication skills.nFlexible approach to work.nCan work independently and within a team environment.


JOB DESCRIPTIONnResponsible for the general and technical management of Ro-Ro Cargo Ferries in accordance with company and statutory requirements.nEnsuring vessels are maintained in a safe and seaworthy condition in accordance with Flag, Class and Company requirements.nResponsibilities include day to day management, maintenance and repair, budget planning, survey schedules and internal audits/inspections.nPreparing vessels for dry dock/refit in accordance with budget requirements.nCoordinating with all 3rd party organisations including Flag, Class, Insurers and Suppliers.nFull familiarity and understanding of ISM and ISPS codes.nWorking closely with internal departments including Operations, Safety, Marine, Commercial, Crewing and HR.nConducting periodic appraisals of Senior Officers.nMonitoring MRV/DCS reporting and verification.nMonitoring fleet performance.
