86 & 87 years old couple, compos mentis and independent, seeking friendly person capable of keeping the house clean, assisting with cooking, taking them out now and then (own suitable vehicle required), doing the shopping and joining in with crafts so that their lives are that little bit easier.

He does woodwork and spends much time in his workshop; she is registered blind but enjoys cooking and weaving (cane/willow) and other crafts.

If you too love crafting, so much the better.

Care qualifications are not necessary - a caring personality is. It is also essential that you like older folks; have a patient approach to life; are a do-er. Get the cleaning work done so that there is time each day to help the couple enjoy life.

We need you to make sure the couple stay safe on a daily basis; take medication and keep appointments. Your empathy and understanding and some emotional commitment are all seen as part and parcel of the job.

What we need from you:

diligence, reliability, honesty, integrity, friendliness, a good sense of humour, interest in life - all the things that you would expect us to ask of someone keeping an eye on an older couple.

All the while keeping the house clean, neat and tidy.

Monday to Friday, 10-1 preferred. Or flexible 5 days from 7.

Job Types:

£10.00 per hour
