Role Overview

As a Full Stack Software Engineer at Bordeaux Index Ltd, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our cutting-edge trading platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to deliver high-quality solutions that enhance the user experience, streamline operations, and enable seamless wine trading. Your expertise in Azure cloud, SQL, Azure Logic Apps, and potentially PHP Laravel will be essential in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our platform.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and maintain features of the Bordeaux Index trading platform.
  • Implement and maintain Azure cloud solutions, ensuring scalability, availability, and security
  • Design, optimize, and manage SQL databases to support data storage, retrieval, and manipulation requirements
  • Utilise streaming technologies to manage communication flows between different systems and services
  • Contribute to the development of public and internal APIs to enable third-party integrations and improve platform accessibility
  • Work on the front-end and back-end components of the platform, ensuring a seamless and responsive user experience
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, perform debugging, and implement performance optimizations
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in software development
  • Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior team members
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define technical requirements and translate them into functional solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience in software development, with a strong emphasis on full stack development
  • Expertise in Azure cloud services and deployment, including familiarity with Azure DevOps
  • Proficiency in SQL database design, optimization, and management
  • Experience in developing with GoLang (a strong plus)
  • Familiarity with PHP Laravel framework (a strong plus)
  • Knowledge of building and maintaining public APIs, adhering to best practices for security and usability
  • Experience in the design and development of streaming based architectures (a plus)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
  • Proactive attitude, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality software
