This apprentice role lasts up to 12 months and gives you the chance to earn while you learn. You will complete a business administration level 3 as part of the apprenticeship.

We are looking for a motivated individual with a willingness and enthusiasm to get involved and support our logistics team, who is also excited to develop practical and problems solving skills along the way.


No prior experience is required as you will be given full training.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Handle purchasing, shipping and stock administration processes and ensuring KPIs are met
  • Collaborate with other departments and help to ensure team targets are also met
  • Work with suppliers, shippers, forwarders and other departments to ensure information is regularly updated
  • Produce up to date information relating to purchasing and shipping and send to suppliers, shippers, forwarders and other departments, as required
  • Produce stock reports and KPI information and circulate as required
  • Carry out physical stock takes at branches and third party warehouses
  • Develop a strong product knowledge
  • Develop a strong understanding of all company procedures
  • Undertake any training necessary to the role
  • Maintain cost price lists for all goods and services relating to purchasing and shipping
  • Work with managers and team members to build an environment of continuous improvement within the Operations department
  • Develop working knowledge of other functions within the Operations department and be able to provide cover if necessary
  • Carry out any reasonable request made by line manager and other senior management
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent administration skills
  • Enthusiastic, committed and reliable
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • IT literate (Microsoft Office)
  • Excellent customer focus, both internal and external
