Currently, we are on the lookout for a highly skilled and seasoned Senior Quantity Surveyor to take on a pivotal role in handling the financial aspects of our projects.

Position Overview: As a Senior Quantity Surveyor focusing on groundworks and civil engineering, your main responsibility will be to oversee the financial management of projects from start to finish. Your expertise will ensure timely and budget-friendly project delivery, maintaining top-tier quality and full compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and oversee project budgets, ensuring precise cost forecasting and control over the project lifecycle.
  • Perform thorough cost analysis, including evaluating materials, labor, and equipment expenses.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to devise cost-efficient solutions that meet project needs.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to secure favorable terms.
  • Monitor and assess subcontractor performance, guaranteeing adherence to contractual agreements and quality benchmarks.
  • Provide regular financial updates and reports to senior management, flagging any potential risks or opportunities.
  • Leverage top-notch software and tools in the industry to streamline quantity surveying processes and enhance efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Possessing professional accreditations such as MRICS, MCIOB is highly advantageous.
  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in quantity surveying, particularly in groundworks and civil engineering projects.
  • Thorough understanding of construction contracts, procurement methods, and pertinent legislation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to interpret complex data and make sound decisions.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills to build robust relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in using industry-standard quantity surveying software like CostX, Bluebeam, Procore.
