In this role, as the Deputy Chief Engineer (Space), your main responsibility will be overseeing the technical quality and risk assessment of engineering projects to ensure successful missions across the company's global portfolio.

This position provides an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and expanding company that focuses on cutting-edge in-orbit services. You will collaborate closely with teams in the UK and France, contributing to various European projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and provide critical analysis.
  • Support Failure Review Boards, Material Review Boards, and lead nonconformance investigations.
  • Ensure engineering standards and best practices are maintained across global programs.
  • Work with local engineers, offer technical guidance, and maintain consistency in projects.
  • Develop and update a risk matrix to identify and address technical challenges in global projects.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between engineering teams worldwide.

Key Skills & Experience Required:

  • 15+ years of hands-on engineering experience in space-related projects.
  • Experience in the entire satellite design life cycle, including mission analysis, requirements development, assembly integration, and in-orbit operations.
  • Wide-ranging knowledge of spacecraft subsystems and satellite engineering disciplines.
  • Familiarity with space industry standards, best practices, and engineering processes.
  • Degree in engineering or related field.
