Foodservice National Account Manager

As a Foodservice Account Manager, you will be primarily responsible for the commercial management of the foodservice customers including sales, project management, relationship building, pricing, sales analysis and account building.

This role demands a strategic thinker with a proven track record in sales, account management, and a strong understanding of the FMCG industry.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of sales initiatives, product launches, and promotional activities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • To be the first point of contact for all commercial queries raised· Develop and maintain strong relationships with key national foodservice accounts.
  • Identify new and growth opportunities within existing accounts and strategize on expanding market share
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market penetration.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to drive business growth
  • Full P/L responsibility for the accounts
  • Work with the NPD team to produce and manage critical paths for all new products and projects defining timelines and effective lines of responsibility for all tasks
  • Work closely with the NPD team to provide support for all presentations and ensure indicative prices and market data are provided as part of the presentation
  • Understand sales forecasts, actual figures and promotional activity
  • To liaise with Technical Team to actively manage, assess root cause and close out complaints
To complete a quarterly reviews of the foodservice customers including sales, profits, new products and future targetsRequirements:

  • Strong knowledge of the food industry
  • Proven track record of success in National Account Management within Foodservice customers· A good understanding of the Wholesale route to market and working with end users
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills· Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse market trends and develop effective sales strategies.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
