Reed Further Education are proud to be appointed as the Managed Service Provider for the South Thames College Group and REED are supplying all staffing for across the whole college group.

The South Thames Colleges Group is made up of Kingston College, South Thames College, Carshalton College and Merton College, which merged in 2017.

The South Thames College Group are currently seeking dynamic Learning Coaches to support their learners in the classroom on a temporary ongoing basis.

The main focus of the Role is to provide an onsite presence and on call service during the College day, promoting good behaviour and responding and challenging observed or reported behaviour policy infringements and incidents

The role:

  • Maintain a presence on the College Site between 09.00 and 17.00 hours.
  • Deliever group sessions with students
  • Actively promote good behaviour with all Students, liaising with Student Services on the production of support materials and communications to communicate clearly to Students the Group's behaviour policy, raising the profile of good behaviour in the College
  • Act as a Safeguarding officer and deal with general learner welfare
  • Assist with supporting students in making the most out of their college experience including employablity and helping with university planning

What a successful Student Duty Manager will need**:

  • Experience of working with young people in a school or College setting
  • An understanding of issues that may affect a Students ability to attend College and comply with appropriate standards of behaviour as set out in Group Policy.
  • Level 2 Qualification or equivalent to demonstrate good literacy and numeracy.
