Linen lease is looking to recruit a laundry shift manager to run the operation of a commercial laundry based in Livingston.


Linen Lease rents/ leases commercial linen and laundry to hotels, bnbs, holiday lets, and may more businesses in and around central Scotland.


The role of Laundry manager is to take control of the day to day operations of the commercial laundry and staff.

Ensuring targets and kpi's are met.

Duties include ( but not limited too)

  • Managing the operations of the laundry on a daily basis
  • Working in the laundry, managing the business from the floor up.
  • Managing all staff within the laundry
  • Dealing with staff issues, problems and or disciplinary matters if they arise.
  • Working within staff salary budgets
  • Managing rotas, holidays and time off, ensuring the business is always staffed.
  • Ensuring the laundry and stores are clean tidy, organised and complies to health and safety requirements
  • Ensures fire checks are completed
  • Ordering chemicals and supplies within budgets set within directors forecasts.
  • Keeping laundry machinery clean and looked after and maintained.
  • External flu and extraction points cleaned regularly
  • Dealing with some clients who come to the business to collect laundry.
  • Organising work load and weekly targets.
  • Reporting any machine fault or issues to directors
  • Opening and closing the business ensuring business premises are safe and secure
KPI's

  • Ensuring daily orders are met
  • Order Bags are packed correctly for drivers to collect
  • Daily bulk orders and processed and packed ready for delivery.
  • Laundry numbers inputted and sent to finance for processing
  • Implement you own structure and procedures within the business to improve productivity and performance.
  • Recruiting, training and performance managing staff.
  • Monthly meeting with director to review the business and all matters relevant.

  • Between 23k25k per year depending on experience and management experience

Job Types:

£25,500.00 per year
