Within the division of Multimatic Electronic Systems, located in Cambridge and Thetford, we focus on meeting the evolving needs of our automotive customers in electronics hardware and software control.

Join our dynamic engineering team based in Milton Hall, Cambridge (UK) as an Embedded Software Engineer and be part of developing software for a new range of Multimatic automotive electronic control units. You'll collaborate with a highly skilled engineering team spread between Cambridge (UK) and Toronto (Canada) to deliver innovative solutions to customers globally.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Develop and maintain ECU code for prototype and production systems following OEM and international standards.
  • Lead verification, validation, and testing of software solutions for projects, conducting white-box and black-box level tests.
  • Work in an agile team environment, ensuring flexibility and self-management to meet project deadlines.
  • Collaborate with the team to enhance development processes and testing procedures.
Ideal Experience
  • Experience with 16/32-bit microcontrollers, with knowledge of the Infineon Aurix family being a plus.
  • Proficiency in device-driver-level and application-level software development, including C programming.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, SPI, SENT, XCP, UDS.
  • Experience with AUTOSAR development tools and configuration management.
Desirable Experience
  • Defining software requirements and designing solutions to meet them.
  • Knowledge of ISO 26262 and ASIL risk classification.
  • Exposure to Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins and scripting languages such as CAPL and python.
  • Familiarity with ISO 14229 Unified diagnostic services and Vector Tools.
