Would you like to play a key role in a busy GP surgery?


St Johns Surgery is based in the heart of Bromsgrove in the BHI Parkside building from where it provides GP services to over 15,000 patients in the Bromsgrove and surrounding areas.


We are seeking individuals who are highly organised, confident and self-motivated and who have the ability to work effectively as part of the team.

Good communication skills (both written and oral) are essential, as is the ability to work independently within a busy office.

Previous experience of working in a GP surgery is preferable, although training will be provided.

In summary, responsibilities include:

  • Greeting patients on arrival
  • Handling appointment requests from patients
  • Directing patients to the most appropriate healthcare provider (care navigation)
  • Providing test results to patients following GP review
  • Dealing with patient queries and requests for assistance
  • Consulting with members of practice team regarding patient queries
  • Processing patients' changes of address
  • Any other tasks allocated by the Assistant Practice Manager (Operations) that are deemed appropriate to the role.
We have 3 roles currently on offer:25 HOURS PER WEEK

i). 25 hours per week working 8am - 1pm Monday - Friday based at St Johns Surgery, BHI Parkside, Bromsgrove. B61 0AZ

ii). 20 hours per week working 1pm - 5pm Monday - Friday based at St Johns Surgery, BHI Parkside, Bromsgrove. B61 0AZ

iii). 10 hours per week working 8am - 1pm Monday and Tuesday based at Wychbold branch surgery. De Wyche Road, Wychbold. WR9 7PN

(Please note:
There may be a requirement to undertake occasional additional hours to cover periods of staff annual leave/sickness).

Salary:
£10.19 per hour
