Are you passionate about customer focus? Are you looking for seasonal work Monday to Friday with the odd weekend and bank holidays?

We're looking for seasonal sales assistants to join our teams at Valley Gardens Park and our Horticultural Nursery.

Our service


Valley Gardens is 17 acres of English Heritage Grade II listed parkland, themed gardens, floral displays, and historic buildings situated in the middle of Harrogate.

The Park offers visitors various attractions such as Children's play area with paddling pool, model boating pond, skateboard/BMX park, tennis courts, crazy golf and a pitch and putt golf course.

Each year, we provide a kiosk facility within the children's play area offering refreshments to our residents and visitors.

Our Horticultural Nursery, situated on Nursery Lane East grows over 400,000 plants which are planted in the many floral displays across Harrogate, we also sell the same seasonal plants to the public.


The role


As our Seasonal Nursery and Park Sales Assistant you will work in either the Nursery or kiosk throughout the season.

You will be responsible for the day to day running of the facilities.

Duties will include:

  • Carry out plant production tasks
  • Selling goods and promoting the service
  • Upkeep and cleaning of areas
  • Chemical safety check of paddling pool
The shifts are Monday to Friday varied hours, some weekend and bank holiday working may be required.

The role requires an enhanced DBS which we will provide.

Ideally, we are looking for those with experience in commercial selling, but this is not essential as full training will be provided.
