Role description:
We are looking for an experienced Carbon consultant to join our Sustainability Advisory team within our Environmental group.

We are a growing team focused on delivering sustainable solutions to support our clients on their journey to carbon net zero.

Working with cross-disciplinary teams we aim to take every opportunity to support our clients to go further and faster.

You'll get to work on a range of different projects across various industries including the buildings and infrastructure and water sectors.

The team offers an array of services to our clients from strategic support and management systems through to carbon footprinting, carbon management, renewable technologies and energy transition advice.

Around the world, we're feeling the effects climate change, rapid urbanization, loss of biodiversity. The rate at which we're seeing large-scale, unforeseen events such as floods and wildfires, is becoming more frequent. Role accountabilities:
Advising clients on how to decarbonise in line with carbon budgets and Net Zero


Complete organisational and asset level GHG Inventories including scope 1, 2 and 3 across a range of sectors and projects.

Deliver carbon assessments for buildings and infrastructure including completing carbon calculations, EIAs

Guide organisations in corporate sustainability, including SECR, CDP, Science Based Targets, and GRESB.

Use of carbon calculation accounting and life cycle assessment tools such as OneClick LCA, E-tool and EC3

Lead and facilitate engagement sessions / workshops internally and externally.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration on sustainability initiatives.

Contribute to Carbon Team overall delivery supporting best practice and developing services.

Managing and delivering complex projects with a delivery team.

Assist or lead on business development activities including client presentations and preparation of bids

Qualifications & Experience:
Proven expertise in carbon management, GHG accounting methodologies, and sustainability reporting.

Previous experience with major infrastructure, city planning, corporate or blue-chip companies would be advantageous

Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

Experience in client interaction and stakeholder engagement, with a track record of fostering productive relationships and delivering client-focused solutions.

Good interpersonal and communication skills, capable of leading discussions and engaging a variety of stakeholders towards sustainable outcomes.

Provide clear presentations and high-quality reports meeting varying client requirements

Experience of interacting with clients and involvement with business development including the development of business cases, define scopes, plan, and delivery of energy projects
