Lab or Science Technician

The Role:

Working as a school Science/Lab Technician you will need to combine your professional Science laboratory experience and health & safety training to support the Science curriculum and help develop the Science department.

As a Science Technician, you willbe an integral part of the School Support Team.

You must have at least 6 months experience of working experience within a science laboratory or relevant fields, knowledge of practical needs of the science curriculum or core scientific ideas and the ability to prepare materials/resources for curriculumlaboratories.

You will need to show evidence of the following:

• Strong practical and organizational skills
• A thorough understanding of science and the school curriculum (at least a 2:2 in a BSc Degree)
• An academic background in Chemistry would be preferred
• Good scientific knowledge and technical background
• Good communication and team working skills
• The ability to cope and understand the demands of young adults & children while in school

Essential:
