Job Title: Automotive Software Controls Engineer

CMC is currently offering a consulting assignment for a Software Engineer to work on an engaging project in the Midlands.


Are you seeking an exciting new project to dive into? We are in need of an experienced software engineer to join our client for an initial 12-month contract. This opportunity allows for remote work and falls outside of IR35 regulations.

We are on the lookout for individuals to carry out the following:

  • Specify software requirements, detailed design of functionality, and tests in Confluence for electric vehicle features.
  • Design and develop vehicle dynamics control algorithms using Matlab, Simulink, and Stateflow following MAB and MISRA guidelines.
  • Test software components and compositions using MIL and SIL.
  • Generate and analyze interface signals test data in CANalyzer for test cases.

As the engineer, your experience should include:

  • Hands-on experience in model-based control function development with MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Prior involvement in leading model-based software delivery for safety-critical systems aligning with relevant quality management processes and industry standards.
  • An in-depth understanding of chassis actuation and control systems and their impact on vehicle attribute behavior.
  • Knowledge of vehicle networks, ECUs, fault monitoring strategies, diagnostic routines, and electronics.
  • Proficiency in software applications such as Vector CANape & Canalyzer, MatLab & Simulink.
