Countrywide Grounds is a national commercial grounds maintenance company. We've been maintaining grounds for over 25 years and in that time we have developed an enviable reputation for excellence and customer service.


We are currently recruiting experienced and driven
Grounds Maintenance Operatives & Supervisors to work in the Peterborough & Northamptonshire areas, operating from the depot located in Great Staughton.


Responsibilities and duties as our Grounds Maintenance Operative:

  • To work as part of a two or three man team, maintaining grounds for schools, care homes, industrial units and housing associations
  • Undertake grass cutting and strimming
  • Hedge and shrub maintenance
  • Weeding and litter picking
  • Turfing
  • Hedge and shrub planting
  • Minor tree maintenance
  • Linemarking

Key requirements, qualifications and skills required by our Grounds Maintenance Operative:

  • Full clean UK Driving Licence
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in operating ride on and push along mowers, hedge cutters and strimmers
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work using own initiative and as part of a team
  • Own transport to travel to and from the depot in Great Staughton

Desirable qualifications and skills required by our Grounds Maintenance Operative:

  • PA1 / PA6 spraying licence
  • Trailer competent
  • Chain saw use certificate CS30 / CS31
