MyMFT is MFT's Patient Engagement Portal and a key front-door to our organisation, empowering our patients.

The Senior Analyst is a vital colleague supporting development of the Patient Engagement Portal further, working closely with our clinical and operational teams.

Main duties of the job The role

As a Hive EPR Senior Analyst - Admin Service, you'll design and configure the MyMFT Application and adapt the application to our working practices and standards. Your work will be a vital link between the new technology and our services and will ensure our transition to Hive continues to be a success.

You'll work closely with our staff to analyse processes, agree on clinical and operational standards and future workflows to be incorporated into Epic, the software that runs Hive. To make sure our systems meet operational and auditing requirements, you'll also collaborate with our Business Intelligence team.

As a central member of the team, you'll be required to lead on engagement with clinicians and other staff related to the application. But there are also opportunities to work with other EPR application teams across testing, security, user support and medical device integration. As part of your EPR training, you'll also receive recognised qualifications in an application. Were looking for candidates preferably with clinical or operational experience in the NHS. However, if you bring other transferable knowledge or experience, please apply. Youll be a talented communicator who can make complex issues easy to understand you might also have experience in analysing business and technical requirements or even training in Epic software, but whats essential is strong IT skills, an eye for detail and a sense of strategy.

Youll also need a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject. A project management or relevant postgraduate qualification is preferred, but not essential.

  • Degree level or equivalent experience (relevant to role).
Desirable
  • Qualification in Project Management
  • Postgraduate or Masters qualification in relevant area or equivalent experience within a Clinical Systems implementation role
Knowledge Essential
  • Knowledge of clinical, administrative and/and operational workflows and processes within a hospital environment
  • Previous/current clinical / operational NHS experience and understanding of the NHS Performance Framework
  • Knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages especially Excel
  • Knowledge of NHS Information Standards and their application
Desirable
  • Knowledge of Lean & 6 sigma analysis techniques
  • Knowledge of Data Protection Act, GDPR & Information Governance
  • Knowledge of managing complex, strategic projects or areas of complex working practices
  • Knowledge of health care IT systems
Experience Essential
  • Evidenced experience of communicating complex issues to a range of people
Desirable
  • Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, documentation and methodology development
