About the Role:
As a Senior Accounting Manager, your primary responsibility will be to build, lead, and oversee a team of Managers, Accountants, and Bookkeepers at different levels within the organization.
Your role involves managing the entire accounting function across multiple sites to ensure accurate financial statements and drive profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, lead, and guide a team of Managers, Accountants, and Bookkeepers.
- Ensure team compliance with professional development requirements.
- Manage accounting workflow efficiently by collaborating with Trust Administration Teams.
- Enhance profitability through fee structure review and timely billing of accounting fees.
- Support the Director in change initiatives for improved efficiencies.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality financial statements in compliance with standards.
- Provide technical support to colleagues on financial matters.
- Produce accurate management information and meet KPIs.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Required professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CA).
- Experience in accounting within fiduciary services with at least 5 years in a management role.
- Working knowledge of statutory requirements and UK GAAP/FRS102.
- Effective communication and presentation skills at Board level.
- Ability to apply judgment and initiative in problem-solving.
