Hours: 37 hours a week over Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

We are looking for a motivated individual to join the refuse team as a Refuse Collector; as a service we are committed to providing the City of Der
by with a reliable and regular refuse collection operations.
As a Collector your role will be key to supporting the operational delivery of this service by facilitating the safe and efficient collection of domestic refuse and recycling waste, from approximately 130,000 properties.
Applicants will be required to work 37 hours over 4 days, Tuesday - Friday, 6.00 am pm, with the option of occasional overtime.

The Opportunity
In the role of Refuse Collector, here's an example of what you'll be doing to make an impact:
Refuse collection and other associated duties to ensure the collection of household refuse from a variety of locations and premises.
Provide assistance to the driver, ensuring safe working practices are adhered to.Maintaining the vehicle cleanliness' inside the cab and external surfaces.
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have
Being physically fit is a must as the role requires working at a good pace and walking up to 17 miles per day in all weathers.
To assist the Driver/Chargehand whenever manoeuvring the vehicle on the round or at the disposal location.
Great communication skills and able to liaise effectively with members of the public, customers, and crew members, providing excellent customer service.
A full induction, training and support will be provided to the successful applicant.
