This vacancy will suit an experienced time served mechanical technician with an engineering background(centrifugal / reciprocating compressors and pumps) with a knowledge of permit to work and contractor control.


The role:
Responsible for supporting the mechanical maintenance programme for all aspects of production on-site and on the offsite plants to measured KPI targets and response to breakdowns to ensure continuous reliable and efficient operation,

Responsibilities:

  • You will be maintaining equipment in a manufacturing facility that produces high quality gas cylinders to our customers who use our products for Food preparation, Pharmaceutical, Universities and many other industries
  • This is a hands on position, where you will be expected to maintain all plant and equipment, in adherence with all operating and safety procedures. This position includes installation, commissioning and maintenance of all plant and equipment on the cylinderfilling site
  • We are looking for a highly enthusiastic individual to join our team, with at least one trade. Ideally, you are a Mechanically competent technician, with additional trades (beneficial)
  • In addition, the right person will understand our requirements to follow our Safety, Quality and Environmental standards as you will be required to follow our operating procedures diligently
  • You will be required to work closely with Production, Maintenance, Engineering and Contractors to plan and execute all Planned, Preventative and Defect Maintenance Activities

Knowledge and Experience Required:

  • You will have a Level 4 Apprenticeship (or equivalent trade experience) in Mechanical Engineering with Electrical or Instrumentation Experience preferred
  • Experience of operating in a manufacturing, engineering or scientific environment is preferable
  • Your approach is systematic and logical
  • As a team player, you possess great communication skills as well as a good command of English
  • Furthermore, you have experience of MS Office Programs and SAP would be beneficial
  • You are energetic, selfmotivated and disciplined
