Job Description:


Are you an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Fitter looking for a new permanent role on days with an established family business based in Halesowen that exports major business to the U.

Annual Salary/Benefits:

- £37,000 to £40,000 a year plus overtime available

Job Role:


  • To repair, maintain & ensure correct and efficient operation of equipment & buildings, at the company.
  • Manufacture specialised machines/equipment and tooling.
  • Identify and report any areas where specialist knowledge, equipment or contractors may be required.
  • Maintenance of closed presses, spot welding machines etc
    SPECIFIC DUTIES:
  • Carry out mechanical and minor electrical repairs including PPM of machinery & equipment.
  • Identify and report any breakdowns which require parts to be ordered or specialist contractors.
  • Liaise with subcontractors to ensure that service or repairs are carried out in a correct and time efficient manner, sign off worksheets where applicable.
  • Work from drawings/samples or first principles to manufacture specialised tools, machines, or equipment.
  • Use in house computer system to book PPM schedules and order parts
    SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
  • A recognised engineering qualification (e.g. City and guilds) and / or sufficient experience and proven ability to do the job.
  • A wide range of abilities including general machining, basic electrical knowledge. welding etc.
