Commercial Solicitor - (UK - Remote)

Jackson Hogg is looking to recruit a Commercial Solicitor for a growing technology company.

Responsibilities of the Commercial Solicitor

  • Maintain the worldwide customer legal agreements to manage commercial legal risk effectively, ensuring they reflect changes in law as well as product and internal operations.
* ​Produce and maintain external and internal guidance for the customer legal agreements.

* ​Support customer facing teams in responding to customer and other third party queries on the customer legal agreements.

* ​Lead legal negotiations with prospective customers.

* ​Manage relationships with outsourced legal services providers around the world.​

* ​Perform company secretarial duties, including advising on Company directors' rights and responsibilities, advising on shareholders' rights, board meeting administration, and preparing and submitting statutory company returns.

* ​Advise on intellectual property law and risks and working with internal teams to ensure risks are appropriately managed.

* ​Advise on data protection law and risks and working with Internal teams to ensure risks are appropriately managed.​

Skills and Qualifications required

  • Hold an LLB, BA or BSc in Law, a conversion degree, or equivalent
* ​Hold appropriate professional qualifications such as SQE, LPC, GDL and/or CILEX

* ​Have completed minimum required Qualifying Work Experience

* ​Experience of post-qualified , practical experience in commercial law

* ​Hold a valid practicing certificate

* ​Be up-to-date with SRA requirements and have completed required CPDs and submissions

* ​Possess excellent client communication skills

* ​Have high levels of attention to detail and excellent drafting skills

* ​Have a high level of commercial acumen

* ​Be able to demonstrate problem solving skills

* ​Have high levels of motivation, pragmatism and a can-do attitude

* ​Be able to demonstrate resilience under pressure

* ​Possess good teamwork skills​

Skills and Qualifications Desired

  • More than 2 years of post-qualified experience in industry
* ​Experience of working within a technology business

* ​Experience in Data protection law
