Job Description

Currently we have an excellent fixed term contract job opportunity for a registered clinical psychologist to join our client, who are an adult mental health hospital for people of all genders with severe and complex mental health conditions, whom play a crucial role in supporting the NHS when intensive care needs cannot be met locally.

As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be part of a friendly, collaborative multi-disciplinary team supporting people over the age of 18.

Salary: Up to £30,933

Position: Clinical Psychologist – Fixed Term Contract

Hours: Part Time, 22.5hrs

Setting: Adult Acute Mental Health

Location: Roehampton

Key Responsibilities:

  • Keeping people safe from any harm and protecting their human rights
  • Complete assessment and clinical formulation of patients' presentation and treatment needs
  • Provide evidence based individual and group treatment programmes to address or reduce the negative impact of the patients' presentation, with an emphasis on multidisciplinary working to achieve the best outcomes
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of individual and group treatment programmes
  • Direct and support others to carry out evidence-based psychological interventions
  • Take personal responsibility for ensuring that appropriate security procedures are always adhered to and that risks are continuously assessed and managed
  • Maintain CPD of an HCPC Registered Practitioner Clinical Psychologist and to ensure competence in relation to the administration and scoring to psychological assessments and risk assessments
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, visitors, and carers

For this role, we're looking for someone who has;

  • HCPC registration
  • BPS registration
  • Experience of working within an adult mental health inpatient setting
  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS
