Working with our direct customers you will strive to understand their needs, their challenges and provide services that support and strengthen our coating solutions and create value that can be monetized.

You will be part of our Hempel team of Coating Advisors working closely with Sales, R&D, Customer Care, and other internal functions to deliver exceptional service to the end user.

• Key responsibilities
• Provide technical assistance to customers in order to solve technical issues and ensure that the specification is followed
• Good, professional and on time reporting according to SoP and/or other requirements
• Observe the rules of Hempel specifications, SoP and other Services documentation.
• Observe the rules of Hempel quality.
• Work according to Hempel Coating Advisor's Safety Handbook
• Key tasks
• Provide technical support to customers, including testing and maintaining products, equipment and services
• Advising on complex and bigger projects
• Quality and timely reporting in digital system (good Digital skills required)
• Provide support to sales force in regards to the technical aspects of the company's products and / or services
• Ensure completion of needed reports with quality and on time in accordance with SOP's
• Follow all guidelines and Group procedures regarding Health & Safety and Environment
• UK Driving Licence
• Expected travel up to 80%

An Approachable Technical Expert for An Excellent Customer Experience

You will be an ambassador for the brand and product lines by effectively communicating the features and benefits of all our products and solutions.

You'll be based in the Midlands, UK and be comfortable with travelling 70% of the time including occasional trips abroad.

• Manage complex and bigger projects
• You record data based on the daily activity of your project in your daily progress reports followed by submission of the Final Reports to the relevant stakeholders.
• Promote our Coating Solutions with the benefits of Hempel Services and deliver value to our customers.
• Actively support internal and external Services strategy activities.
• Assist in providing sustainable solutions internally and externally
• Activities include trainings, condition surveys, Line inspection Surveys as well as troubleshooting issues and finding resolutions.

Here's What We Are Looking For

• Post is based in Scotland, in Glasgow or Edinburgh regions as example
• FROSIO II or NACE CIP 2 minimum certification is preferred
• Good negotiation skills & communication skills in English (including job related technical terms)
• Good Computer Skills required (MS Programs, CRM)
• Previous experience as technical service representative would be valuable, as would knowledge of the coating industry
• Proficient in English written and verbal
• Experience working with SOPs, product information
• Willingness to travel regionally (up to 80% of the time) and abroad on occasion when required, full UK driving license essential
• Customer focused, able to work remotely in the field with multifunctional team setup
