Senior Mental Health Practitioner
West London Forensic Service has been chosen by NHS England to pioneer a new approach to support the discharge of Service users in Learning Disability and Autism medium and low secure forensic mental health settings and support their transition and community care.
In the past a lot of people with learning disabilities have been placed in hospital units a long way away from their home, family and friends.
The government has said this must end and people should get support and treatment close to home. This can improve quality of life, reduce inequality, and give hope to people who may have been detained for many years.
It also saves significant expenditure on hospital care, which can be reinvested into community services. We are looking for a Forensic Band 6 CPN to be part of this innovative team. The post will be based in Ealing, St Bernard's Hospital Site
