Yard Shunter

Join McColl's Travel as a Yard Shunter and play a pivotal role in our daily operations.

We are seeking a dedicated individual to assist with the morning vehicle run-out, ensuring our fleet is ready and operational for the day ahead.

Key Responsibilities

Vehicle Preparation:Conduct routine checks including coolant, oil, and AdBlue levels to ensure all buses are operational and safe.

Yard Coordination:Efficiently move buses around the yard to facilitate smooth departures.

Time Management:Monitor and manage the timely departure of services from the depot.

Maintenance of Yard: Keep the yard tidy and spread salt during the winter period to maintain safety.

Vehicle Cleanliness:Perform both external and internal cleaning of vehicles as required.

Requirements:

Essential:Valid car driving licence.

Preferred:Bus licence (not mandatory but advantageous).

Skills:Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to work early morning shifts; physically capable of meeting the demands of the role.

Work Hours
Monday to Saturday from 5am to 10am. 30 Hours per week.

£11.44 per hour
