We are looking for a dedicated Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology with expertise in high-risk obstetrics.

  • Lead maternity triage and implement BSOTS
  • Manage High-Risk Obstetric Clinic and general gynecology clinic
  • Engage in minor procedures and outpatient hysteroscopy clinics

This role involves working at Tunbridge Wells Hospital and Maidstone Hospital, serving a population of around 500,000 in West Kent and East Sussex.

The Women's Directorate aims for excellence in community care, labour suite, and birth centers, collaborating with the local Maternity network and Maternity Voices Partnership.

Responsibilities include obstetric training of junior staff, clinical teaching, and compliance with medical guidelines for patient care.

  • Ensure good medical practice and risk management
  • Respond efficiently to patient complaints
  • Develop effective relationships with health and social care providers
  • Participate in clinical teaching and training

Requirements:

  • Experience in high-risk obstetrics and gynecology management
  • Staff management skills and attendance at management training courses
  • ATSM in Advanced Labour Ward Lead or equivalent
  • Obstetric Ultrasound Training
  • Ability to run labor ward and acute gynecology independently
  • Enthusiastic about providing high-quality service
  • Clinical research experience in special interest fields
  • Supervision of junior medical staff and delivery of training programs
  • Medical education experience and interest in supporting trainees
  • Educational supervision of medical students

You will be based at Tunbridge Wells Hospital.
