We are currently seeking an ASD tutor with experience working with children with Autism. This role is ideal for teachers, teaching assistants, SEN one-to-one support staff, or anyone with experience working with children and seeking flexible work opportunities.

As an ASD tutor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-to-one support to children with ASD in their homes or within the local community.
  • Developing and delivering engaging and sensory-based lessons.
  • Managing challenging behaviours.
  • Creating resources tailored to the child's individual needs, whether that be in subjects such as Math and English or through play-based learning.

The SEN tutor positions are based in Derbyshire and can be easily accessed by road, bus, or train. Working hours are flexible, with opportunities available Monday to Friday within school hours.

What we are looking for in an ASD tutor:

  • Prior experience working with children with SEN (as a teaching assistant, one-to-one support, or in a similar role).
  • The ability to plan and deliver engaging and nurturing sessions.
  • Demonstrated skills in boosting student confidence and learning.
  • Experience working with children with challenging behaviour.
  • The ability to track student progress and provide feedback.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
