Small Boutique Hotel group looking for Night Porter.

We are looking for a new team member to look after our guests during the night. Previous experience is very advantageous but not essential.

Night Porter Main Duties:

  • Regular, quiet, night time patrol of the hotel periodically through the evening.
  • Helping guests by carrying luggage & getting them checked in (very occasional, most guests are checked in before the shift starts)
  • Advising on hotel facilities if a guest calls and helping them with any issues in the night i.e. fetching an extra towel
  • Taking messages if there is an outside call for morning staff
  • Responding to safety and security issues
  • Keeping checks on noise levels and general awareness of the properties and guests during the night
  • Handover competently with a detailed night report when needed
  • Laying tables for breakfast
  • Preparing bags of linen for the following day


The role is generally quiet with very little guest interaction so you do need to be self-reliant and enjoy your own company through the night.

Occasional issues may arise and you need to be resourceful enough to tackle these though support is available from a manager at night via phone if required.


Your hours will be
11pm-6.30am/7.30am:


Shifts are Thusday, Friday and Saturday nights fixed so you have a set routine aside from holidays and sick cover when required.

Salary:
£11.50 per hour
