TeamJobs is seeking a skilled Hydraulics Tester to join our team at our client's offices in Yeovil. The role involves assembling and testing Hydraulic Aerospace equipment following Manufacturing Instructions.

Pay Rate: (compensation based on experience).

Hours:

Full-time: Monday - Friday with Day and Late Swing Shift options available.

Days

  • Mon to Thurs (07:00 to 15:30) & Friday (07:00 to 12:00)

Days/Late Swing Shift

  • Days - Mon to Thurs (07:00 to 15:30) & Fri (07:00 to 13:00)
  • Lates - Mon to Thurs (15:30 to 00:00)

Responsibilities of the Tester role include:

- Producing products according to engineering drawings and instructions
- Mechanical fitting & testing of Hydraulic systems
- Operator Control of Quality (OCQ) to ensure assemblies meet Company and Customer standards
- Ensuring on-time delivery by completing work to the required standard
- Interpreting engineering drawings and following proper procedures
- Working efficiently in a lean environment

Qualifications & Experience Needed:

- Engineering Apprenticeship (Desirable but not Essential)
- Mechanical Fitting Applications knowledge
- Expertise in pressure testing
- Strong Health & Safety practices
- Ability to adhere to Company Processes & Procedures
- Experience in a Customer-focused environment and meeting targets
- Collaborating with Designers and Engineers

Required Attributes/Skills:

- Understanding of Aerospace practices and safety critical work (Manufacturing experience also considered)
- Proficiency in PC operations
- Ability to interpret and follow instructions
- Strong commitment to Health & Safety standards, teamwork, flexibility, and initiative
- Willingness to undergo further training such as PC skills, Manual Handling, 5S, HOS Principles, and general Health & Safety

This role is subject to eligibility conditions for Export Control Licenses and Technical Assistant Agreements.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: Full BPSS Screening (Baseline Personnel Security Standard), including proof of Legal Right to Work, Criminal Records Check like UK DBS, and Drugs Screening.
