- Post based at Queen Mary's Hospital in Sidcup and King's College Hospital site at Denmark Hill for out-patient clinics, theatre lists, and on-call commitments.
- Clinical duties involve investigating and treating patients with retinal diseases and allied disorders.
- Seeking an ideal candidate with CCT holder or equivalent interested in specializing in surgical treatment of retinal diseases.
- Required to handle general ophthalmology provisions, on-call duties, and urgent vitreoretinal cases.
- Applicants must have MRCOphth or equivalent, eligible for GMC registration, and have the right to work in England.
- Prior surgical retina experience is desirable but not mandatory, should be able to perform independent cataract surgery.
- Replacement post focusing on working within the multi-disciplinary team to provide and enhance patient care.
- Active involvement in general workload of the Care Group with a significant emphasis on teaching and training junior staff.
- Expected to contribute to the development and delivery of services according to interests and experience.
