Brokerage Advisor

This is an exciting time to join North Somerset as we develop and implement new services to support our vulnerable residents.

We are seeking a Brokerage Advisor to work within the Personalised Commissioning Team. The Team commissions services for all vulnerable adults across North Somerset whether they are funded by Social Care, Health or fund their care themselves.

About the role

You will be sourcing services for people who may have extremely complex/challenging needs and therefore you will need to be aware of the services in North Somerset that can support people in their own homes and in other care settings. You will work closely with Social workers, the voluntary sector, Therapists, Health colleagues and the Hospitals. Therefore, your ability to build and maintain good professional working relationships is essential

Valid driving licence and own transport, or be able to provide alternative, suitable method of travel is an essential condition for this role.

About you

The ideal candidate would be passionate about supporting people to remain as independent as possible using various services to support them. You will need to be organised, enthusiastic with the ability to problem solve, prioritise, and manage workload using your own initiative.

The post will initially be based in the Town Hall, however you may be expected to travel within North Somerset, visiting stakeholders and residents.
