The Digital Editor (Research) supports the planning, development and delivery of online research publications for Tate. You will join a small team committed to furthering the reach, range and accessibility of research at Tate.
As well as editing texts for publication and digital production, you will contribute to sharing and expanding the research profile of the museum through its digital platforms.
Tate is a pioneer of open-access publishing and has established channels of online publication, ranging from long-form research articles published in Tate Papers and In Focus studies, to short art-historical summaries of works in the collection that are published on the artwork pages of Tate's website.
You will bring proven skills in academic editing and a critical approach to reviewing research texts for inclusive language and accessibility.
You will be motivated to learn about new technologies and have a broad understanding of how to work with content across a range of digital platforms, including web-based publishing and social media.
In addition, you will be familiar with web-based content management systems for online publication and have experience of basic digital image editing, preferably with Photoshop.
This position is offered on a fixed-term contract until July 2024._ Our jobs are like our galleries, open to all_
