Welcome to the team at HMP Eastwood Park We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity to join us as a Security Officer at our Women's closed prison facility located in Wotton-under-edge. As a Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our site and its visitors.

  • Assist with contractors on a new carbon-neutral project
  • Conduct visitor checks, toolkit checks, and vehicle searches
  • Work closely with the operational security team
  • Help maintain a safe environment for all on site

Rate (inclusive of holidays): £13.10 per hour. Overtime opportunities are available at an enhanced rate.

To excel in this role, you don't need prior experience as comprehensive training will be provided. Strong communication skills, a security-conscious mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team are key attributes we are looking for. Additionally, you'll need to pass prison clearance and provide satisfactory references.

This temporary 37-hour per week contract offers a minimum of 3 months' work with the possibility of extension based on project duration and contractor timelines.

This role not only provides a valuable experience in a prison setting but also opens doors to potential long-term career opportunities within the prison service, such as roles in operations or as a Prison Officer.
