Role Description:

As a Drama Teacher, your role is crucial in delivering exceptional drama education to students aged 11 to 16. Through your passion and expertise, you will cultivate a love for performing arts, enabling students to unleash their creativity, boost confidence, and acquire vital life skills. Your lessons will be dynamic and captivating, incorporating various teaching methods, practical tasks, and performance opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and conduct engaging drama lessons following the national curriculum guidelines.
  • Guide students in honing their acting abilities, fostering self-expression, and exploring their artistic talents.
  • Foster a secure and inclusive learning atmosphere that promotes collaboration, respect, and a deep appreciation for drama.
  • Assist students in preparing for performances, auditions, and examinations by providing constructive feedback and support.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or similar qualification, with experience in teaching Drama at a secondary level.
  • Demonstrate a genuine enthusiasm for drama education and a solid grasp of the national curriculum.
  • Possess excellent communication skills to connect with and inspire students effectively.
  • Capable of cultivating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Prior experience in directing and coordinating school productions is advantageous.
