Digital Assistant Merchandiser

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring stock daily for top 100 lines and full daily reviews to manage stock holding and IRI, liaising with core merchandising team.
  • Ensuring that new product is online as quickly and efficiently as possible, using product trackers and intake calendars.
  • Running the fast tracks once highlighted and reviewed by the merchandiser.
  • Checking stock ideals, product placement, descriptions and photos are correct before approving, highlighting any issues to the merchandiser.
  • Attributing lines daily to ensure products are visible in correct links/trends.
  • Analysing reports to understand good and poor performance, and relaying this information on to relevant parties.
  • Working closely with core merchandising and buyers to get the best out of the stock and ranges.
  • Assisting the merchandiser with visual merchandising using the merchandising tool Fred Hopper.
  • Site walks throughout the day to raise any potential issues broken links, incorrect product descriptions, product placement, imagery and general housekeeping.
  • Assist the merchandiser with day to day jobs.
  • Attend trade meetings with the merchandiser, gaining confidence to attend in the merchandisers absence.

Teamwork:

  • Reports to the Digital Merchandising Manager
  • Establish working relationships with divisional Buying & Merchandise teams, Digital and Marketing teams.

Key Deliverables

  • Assist the Digital Trading Manager to drive the channels and deliver agreed sales targets.
  • Build strong relationships with B&M team.
  • Identify opportunities.
  • Identify threats, and look to resolve.
  • Become expert in the use of online systems/tools: Fredhopper and Google Analytics

Skills needed:

  • Good knowledge of excel
  • Experience working with merchandiser software
  • Strong organisation and timemanagement skills
  • Commercial brand awareness
