  • We're hiring a Casual Cleaning and Caretaking Assistant to support the Brockhole Property team. The role involves supporting the schedule of waste management, carrying out cleaning duties across the site, carrying out basic maintenance, repair and decorating jobs and completing health and safety checks.
  • You'll work flexibly, providing additional cover such as weekends, during holidays, or busy periods. Working days include weekends and weekdays, from approximately 9am to 6pm.
  • What's it like to work here?
  • Brockhole on Windermere sits on a 30acre site with a lakeshore setting on Lake Windermere. It is a stunning location and has been developing its historic house and gardens to match. There is a real buzz around, particularly in the holidays with people from all generations having fun and making memories.
  • As part of the Site Property team, you will be reporting to the Site Property Manager in this is a hands on role, helping to deliver a great visitor experience
  • What will I be doing?
  • Cleaning public and staff areas including toilets
  • Completing basic maintenance involving toilets/taps, woodwork, decorating, clearing gutters/drains etc
  • Facilitating general waste and recycling management including litter picking and emptying bins
  • Completing health and safety checks
  • Facilitating contractor visits

About you

  • This opportunity would suit someone who has previous experience in a similar role and has a good level of physical fitness due to the amount of walking and manual handling required for this role. Brockhole on Windermere can be a busy place to work, therefore you'll have a flexible approach to work and a cando attitude. You'll have excellent time management and attention to detail. You'll also enjoy working as part of a team, be able to follow instruction, and be willing to deliver great customer service to our visitors to maintain the Brockhole standards.
