Krum Gelato is the new project of Nutmeg Group, from the owners of Da Noi Chester and Augusto Pizzeria, which opened at the beginning of July at the Cross in Chester City Centre.


The start of the operations has been incredibly busy and the first three months saw the business exceeding all expectations from the product quality perspective, with amazing feedback and many requests of supply from local businesses and restaurants.


We are now going to operate a little transformation of the store introducing new product lines that will require a higher level of customer service skills and experience.

We are therefore looking for a full-time member of the staff to join us as soon as possible.


As a member of the team you would be responsible to deliver exceptional service, ensuring every customer has an enjoyable, memorable experience.

In this role you will be required to deliver a few specific tasks and manage the activity store to the required standards.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers and provide excellent customer service during volume, fast paced demand.
  • Product knowledge:ability to explain Krum's specific product details;
  • Barista experience is definitely preferrable
  • Manage cash register and EPOS system
  • Restock orders and keep inventory assisting with ordering new stock as required;
  • Restock all confectionery, utensils and all other inventory to provide day to day running of Krum;
  • Maintain exceptional hygiene standards as well as demonstrate food preparation skills following health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products;
  • Store frozen ice cream in appropriate containers, in designated refrigeration areas;
  • Ensure that appropriate maintenance is performed on utensils and ice cream making machinery;
  • To open/close Krum as required including assisting in closing of the cash registers;

Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Able to work alone and in a team
Proven track record of customer service skills
Demonstrable ability to sell/upsell

Other details:

Hours - Full time, working Thursday to Sunday (circa 9 hours/day), 3 days off (Monday to Wednesday)

Salary - Depending on experience, decision post interview

Salary:
Up to £11.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Weekend availability

  • Hospitality: 2 years (preferred)
