As a Quantity Surveyor, your primary role involves efficiently managing all commercial functions related to your designated work areas. You will offer vital commercial support to the Project Director, Commercial Director, and the broader Commercial Team to guarantee project success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contract Administration:
    • Effectively oversee all commercial aspects of your work packages.
    • Provide commercial assistance to senior project leaders.
    • Ensure adherence to contract requirements.
  • Subcontractors / Procurement:
    • Negotiate terms and conditions with subcontractors and suppliers, distributing risks appropriately.
    • Supervise subcontractors and suppliers according to agreed terms.
    • Assess, approve, and ensure payment of interim and final accounts.
    • Review and agree on costs to complete and forecasts.
  • Cost Management:
    • Collaborate with production, engineering, design, and procurement teams.
    • Ensure compliance with the commercial requirements of the contract and Works Information.
    • Manage contract insurance requirements, claims, and renewals.
  • Change Management:
    • Handle early warnings, compensation events, and quotations as per contract conditions.
    • Prepare, submit, and reach agreements on early warnings and compensation events.
  • People Management:
    • Lead and nurture a commercial team to ensure project completion and team advancement.
    • Offer guidance and training to site personnel regarding commercial matters.
