Position Summary:
Excellent career growth opportunity for a technically strong environmental engineer seeking a new challenge in a fast-paced environment, executing the environmental design of a range of facilities including traditional energy and energy transition projects.
The role would also suite a high performing chemical/process engineer with an interest in environmental engineering, with suitable broad & relevant experience and the willingness to learn on the job to fill any competency gaps as listed.
Prepare environmental engineering deliverables relating to regulatory compliance, air emissions and water/wastewater treatment.nPrepare, coordinate, and review designs, studies, reports and proposals.nTake the initiative to coordinate the design development of a system with other engineering disciplines while managing workload and meeting schedule due dates.nShow knowledge of and perform standard discipline engineering activities on projects with minimal technical oversight.nInterface with overall project team and client on a regular basis showing excellent communication skills.
ResponsibilitiesnEnsure that projects are in compliance with state, federal, and country environmental regulations.nManage environmental engineering scope including water & industrial wastewater treatment and drainage philosophy.nReview permit material for air and effluent emission compliance.nDevelop environmental design basis, process flow diagrams and equipment datasheets.nAttend of key meetings such as P&IDs review, HAZOP, and 3D model review and providing environmental input.nCompile technical lists and inventories such as emissions and effluents summaries.nDeliver excellent quality work, showing thoroughness and rigour in checking and attention to detail.
Essential:
nHold a recognized degree in environmental, chemical/process or mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university.nDisplay excellent knowledge of technical theory, engineering principles, good engineering practices and how to apply them for design execution.nDemonstrate ability to work independently with minimal supervision showing a high degree of professionalism.nHave familiarity with major regulations and industry codes and standards affecting standard design, quality, or processes.nBe a Chartered Engineer (or equivalent) or show willingness to complete.
DesirablenAny of the following experience is considered as important for this role:nWorking in EPC industry and with large-scale project execution.nWorking on Conceptual and FEED projects.nAssessing of air emissions from industrial sources.nDesign of water/industrial wastewater systems.
