Veterinary Receptionist - Role Overview


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a confident and dynamic individual to join our delightful veterinary practice located in the historic market town of Knutsford.

We are looking for a role model with a passion for customer service.

We are looking for:

  • Reception and administration experience, ideally in the veterinary sector
  • Animal lover
  • Demonstrate a positive approach to teamwork
  • Computer literate (Word, Excel etc)
  • Organised, reliable with good timekeeping
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • SQP qualification desirable but not essential

Your role will include:

  • Ensure that the telephones are answered promptly and assist with effective diary management
  • Maintaining client and patient files, maintaining GDPR compliances
  • Ensuring the reception area is wellmaintained, clean and fully stocked
  • Assisting the Head Receptionist with insurance administration
  • Assisting with marketing of the practice, and the management of our social media and website accounts
  • Promoting the practice health plan and other seasonal clinical schemes
  • Dealing with client queries and complaints as the first port of call and escalating those that need senior management involvement.

The role is 25-40 hours per week and will be on a rota basis, with some 8 a.m. starts and some 6.30 p.m. finishes. We are open to discussions regarding flexible working. Shift patterns will include 1 in 4 Saturday mornings and 9 until 12.30.
