Buckshaw Retirement Village is a not for profit organisation dedicated to delivering high-quality, person-centred care to the individuals who we support.

The Village provides a new concept in retirement living with distinct communities offering options for ownership and rental in an attractive and well-appointed location.


We are currently looking for an organised Head Housekeeper to lead our team in providing high standards of cleanliness and a homely lifestyle to residents at our specialist dementia care home, The Lodge.

This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week.

What we're looking for:


Previous experience of providing professional cleaning services is essential and you will need to demonstrate a sound knowledge of health and safety and COSHH regulations.

Experience of working in a similar environment and delivering excellent customer service is advantageous.


You will also need to be a good communicator who can demonstrate the ability to make decisions in order to plan and organise the housekeeping rota to ensure high-standards of cleanliness at all times.

Previous experience of leading and motivating a team as well as managing attendance and monitoring performance is required.
