The Tokophobia Pathway merge with the Birth Trauma Service is a new development, as part of the National development of Maternal Mental Health Services.
This is a unique opportunity to join our growing service, to be involved in the shaping/development of this pathway, as well as, provide assessment and treatment for people experiencing symptoms of Tokophobia and Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) to their birth experiences, including reproductive loss.
You will be part of a growing, dedicated, dynamic and friendly team of Psychological Therapists and Psychologists committed to providing the best care for those experiencing Tokophobia and/or PTSD to their birth experiences.
The service has a generous CPD time allowance and you will particularly have the opportunity to develop your knowledge/skills in Trauma Focussed CBT, EMDR and Compassion Focussed Therapy.
Clinician self-care is paramount and we pride ourselves on offering excellent support to carry out clinical duties including peer supervision, fortnightly individual supervision, as well as, specialist supervision in the compassion focused therapy model and EMDR, where appropriate.
The Tokophobia and Birth Trauma Pathways are based at Erlegh House on the University of Reading White Knights Campus.
We offer a blended model of delivery including face to face and online working from our well-resourced clinic space or from home ,when appropriate.
