We are recruiting an Emulation Engineer to work in Aberdeen on a staff basis.

The main function of the job is as follows:

  • Participates in the definition and application of emulation acceptance testing (EAT)
  • Provides progress updates to the management pertaining to the scope of work within the Emulation Engineers remit.
  • Involved working with the vessel & operations teams in defining best operational practices from the output of emulation.
  • Actively promote a positive safety attitude in relation to the design and operation of Control Systems.
  • Provide technical assistance in connection with breakdowns and maintenance as well as escalated second-level technical support to relevant vessel personnel, ensuring that management is always aware of all ongoing major issues.
  • Maintaining files and records of emulated control systems.
  • Support projects in interface between vessel systems and project systems.
  • Any other duties as directed by the Fleet Transformation Manager.
  • Ensure department ways of working are embedded and understood.
  • Occasional Support with company initiatives and collaboration with Asset Development Team.
  • What experience would we like you to have?The successful candidate will have a relevant engineering degree and demonstrable experience in controls system engineering including good knowledge of programming PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems.
